METAvivor appreciates your donation and honors your generosity by ensuring that 100% of your donation goes toward supporting grants for metastatic breast cancer research.
Kristin Sanborn Todd, at 32 years young and 34 weeks pregnant was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer. Her once “normal” life as a healthy avid-exerciser, devoted wife, family member, and dedicated Nurse Practitioner, while awaiting the arrival of their first child, was turned upside down. She endured constant treatment, procedures and surgeries from July 2013 on. She passed away, still fighting in April 2018, just shy of her son’s fifth birthday. Kristin was a huge advocate for funding Stage IV research after learning how little of research money goes towards Metastatic Breast Cancer. Her mission during these years of her journey was to spread awareness of the need for more research in order for patients to live longer with the diagnosis. We are striving to reach $50,000 in order for there to be a research grant in Kristin’s name. This will honor her brave fight and will be in memory of a young woman, my sister, that inspired so many across the country to never, ever give up. She still had immense will even the last week of her life. If you choose to donate during Breast Cancer Awareness Month please consider donating to this fund. Thank you for being on Team Kristin.
